Ms. Smith received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, and a Masters of Education in counseling from The University of West Alabama. Ms. Smith passionately promotes the mission and vision that every woman can succeed no matter their situation. Through her efforts and passion for helping others, j. Isaiah’s Community Collaboration Foundation, Inc opens the doors to The Butterfly Home, a maternity and domestic violence home providing targeted support to pregnant/parenting young women along with their children who are facing homelessness. In addition, Ms. Smith will open her doors to women affected by domestic violence and human trafficking. Ms. Smith is currently a gifted teaching specialist for Huntsville City Schools, and in her 10 year teaching tenure has received countless awards in education ranging from educator of the month, best mentor teacher, and lead educator. Education is a huge passion for Ms. Smith which she combined with the industry of philanthropy.

Mr. Averette received his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama-Huntsville, and a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is actively involved in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc where he served as chapter President for many years.
