 j. Isaiah’s Community Collaboration Foundation, Inc. was founded by  Shanna Smith in 2011 in order to service the needs of homeless teenagers that are pregnant and/or parenting, and women affected by acts of  domestic violence and human trafficking.

Through Shanna’s vision of j. Isaiah’s came The Butterfly Home, a residential facility for homeless teens, their babies, and women in situations of abuse and violence.  At The Butterfly Home we provide an array of intensive counseling, rehabilitation, help to meet short and long term goals, continuance of education, financial coaching, and prenatal and postnatal needs.  As a result, these services will lend to each resident’s transformation of an overall mind, body, and soul. Although most teens do not plan their pregnancies, our programs not only work to prepare young mothers for motherhood, they also at the same time work to educate teens on eliminating future unplanned pregnancies. The goal of j. Isaiah’s: The Butterfly Home is to provide teen mothers a safe environment to reside, have a healthy pregnancy, and make good choices long after leaving The Butterfly Home. It is with all intentions that each teen mom develop or rekindle a personal relationship with her family and child’s father, as well as grow into a mature responsible young adult during her time at the facility.

When it comes to domestic violence, The Butterfly Home aims to educate women on the signs of domestic violence, and ways of domestic violence prevention.  Counselors and resources are provided to get women the help they need to move forward with a productive life.

We provide a wide range of services to improve positive life-long outcomes for women in situations of abuse and homelessness.  We are people who believe all individuals deserve a chance to succeed, no matter their circumstances.

The Butterfly Home-Huntsville is the first facility to offer services to women in need.  It will be a  thirty room facility with private bathrooms, playground, walking track, childcare room, full industrial kitchen, laundry facility, media and conference room, learning technology lab, and two classrooms.  Our long term goal is to continue with our programs helping women and children in need and expand across the country improving lives near and far. Join the Movement.
